Get to the start line feeling confident about your fueling.
If you want to learn to fuel properly to support both your health and performance, have a race day fueling plan you've practiced and trust, and do it all with like-minded running peers, you are in the right place.
Who it's for: adult runners training for a spring marathon or half-marathon who want running nutrition guidance without 1:1 sessions. If you've struggled with GI issues, cramping, inconsistent energy, hitting the wall, or completely winging your race day fueling, this program was made with you in mind.
Over 8 weeks, you will:
-
learn the evidence-based strategies to fuel properly by knowing and meeting your daily nutritional needs
-
understand how to fuel during training and racing, and devise a plan to meet your needs comfortably by race week
-
train your gut to handle the fuel you need on race day
-
create a fluid and electrolyte plan using your own data and scientifically backed guidelines
-
build a solid nutrition plan for the days before and morning of the race, even if you're traveling
-
learn with and from a community of runners like you who are all figuring things out together
-
ditch the overwhelm and uncertainty of how to fuel as a runner for all your races to come
What's included:
-
8 live Zoom sessions on Tuesday evenings, held weekly from February 9th to March 30th, 2027
-
day of the week and time are subject to change based on participants' availability
-
recordings of each session will be available for anyone unable to attend live
-
-
Each session will include dietitian-delivered education, tailored to runners who are training for a half or full marathon, plus plenty of time for questions and group discussion so you're also able to learn from and help each other
-
A digital workbook which we will complete over the 8 weeks, where you'll be able to apply what you're learning to build your own daily and race nutrition plan
-
Weekly long-run fueling tracker to help keep you accountable in making the adjustments you need
-
During peak long run weeks (February 19th - March 26th), a drop-in meeting where you can ask questions and troubleshoot before your weekend long run on Fridays from 12-12:30pm
What's not included:
-
individualized nutrition counseling

Meet your sports dietitian
Hi, I'm KC.
I’m a registered dietitian who helps runners and endurance athletes fuel for performance without sacrificing their health. Through Truly Fueled Nutrition I’ve worked with dozens of runners and endurance athletes to help them learn to confidently fuel their bodies to support both their health and performance.
My approach was shaped in the hospital. I trained and worked at Boston Children’s and Hasbro Children’s Hospitals as well as Tufts Medical Center, in eating disorders, adolescent medicine and cardiac intensive care. That background is why I can spot under-fueling before it turns into an injury, troubleshoot a stomach that betrays you mid-run, and talk about food in a way that builds confidence instead of adding stress. I’ve completed advanced training in REDs (Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport), and my care is weight-inclusive: we fuel for performance and health, never for just a number on the scale.
I’m an athlete too. I grew up playing soccer, basketball, and tennis, and today I’m a runner who knows what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by all the metrics, social media content and opinions that we're immersed in as runners. I built this group because so many runners I meet do everything right in training and still show up on race day with their fueling being the largest variable. You deserve to relax about fueling and enjoy the payoff of all the training you've just put in, and that's what we'll accomplish in our 8 weeks together!

A community within a community.
Whether you're new to running or you've been in the sport for decades, chances are you know something about the running community. Part of why we love this sport is because of the community that's created when we cheer each other on and support one another through the most challenging moments, on the road and in life.
The Truly Fueled Runners Club was created to bring that supportive, positive environment to the process of learning to fuel yourself as a runner. Sifting through the endless nutrition information out there is hard enough for everyone. Add being a runner and needing to fuel for both health and performance, and things get overwhelming fast. The good news is that you don't have to do it alone!

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this group for first-time marathoners?
YES! Investing in your nutrition this early on is such a smart move.
I'm running a half marathon, will any of this apply to me?
Yes it will! We'll talk about how to adjust the targets to meet your training, whether you're running 20 or 80 miles per week.
What if I can't make it to the live sessions?
Recordings of each session will be available the next day, and you're welcome to drop in to our Friday Q&A to clarify anything you aren't sure about.
I'm a slow runner - do I need to pay as close attention to my fueling as the front- or middle-of-the-pack runners?
Absolutely, and the reality is the longer you're running for, the more fuel and hydration you'll need.
I'm an experienced marathoner and I've already got a fueling plan that's worked for me. How will this program benefit me?
If your race-day plan works, keep it. We’ll build on it, not change it completely. Most experienced runners get the most out of what happens around race day: fueling the training block so long runs and hard workouts feel better, recovering well enough to stay healthy and consistent through peak weeks, and checking whether your plan still fits your current goals and body. Guidance on how much carbohydrate runners can use has changed in recent years, and many experienced runners find they have room to fuel more and fade less. You’ll also bring a lot to the group, and other runners learn from what’s worked for you.
Is this program covered by insurance?
It is not, which is why I've worked hard to make sure this program is affordable for most people! You are welcome to opt into the payment plan and pay in two installments if that helps.
